What does everyone here do online when they're board?
What do you do at night when you have insomnia? -What if you have to be at work early?
How do you cope with particularly stressful times?
All things I'd like to hear opinions/suggestions on.

When i'm bored I'm usually on myspace and here listening to my music and contemplating things.
When I cant sleep which is almost always until early in the morning I keep myself busy trying not to think too hard about certain people or a certain person, however hard it may be. I go for walks at night around my neighborhood, I read, watch Adult Swim, sleep if I can. I write poetry when I become inspired.
Get this, try being ALMOST asleep and then you have an inspiration all of a sudden and you have to wake back up and turn on the lights and crap, get a piece of paper and write it down. Hahaha...yeah thats me.
I cope by listening to soothing music or hell if I feel like it, i'll just listen to some soft metal. Yes there is a such thing as soft metal. Sometimes I just have to scream it out. I write down how I feel and stuff. It works out. I try not to get stressed out too much, not good for the chest problems.
But yeah, thats me all around and what I do when I'm bored, stressed and what not. :]

Well...when I'm a board I mostly tend to just sit around and inevitably give people splinters and such. But, when I'm bored I usually get online and just fart around. You know, look at different flash videos, watch AMVs, look at funny pictures on College Humor. Pretty much anything that can serve as a prolonged distraction and is uplifting enough to get my spirits up to the point where I want to go do something active. Because, for me at least, boredom is usually synonymous with feeling down.
As for insomnia...aside from running yourself head first into a wall and making yourself passout/sleep. The thing I have found best for trying to sleep is either reading something that interesting enough to grab your attention, but not so interesting that you feel the need to feed your insomnia and stay up and read it- then, just read until you fall alseep. Also, either listening to music with as little words as possible or watching TV right before you're ready to go to bed. I've also found that if I'm being kept from sleeping due to a million thoughts running through my head, then focusing on a long, singular line of thought (like replaying an episode of a TV show or a story) tends to calm me down enough to sleep.
Hope this helps a little.
