This is a board on which you will be able to have role-play fights with your fellow members. Now, you can role-play a fight however you want with the exception of making personal attacks (real life) against your opponent. Insult his character all you want. (Not as in, "That character is stupid," but as in your character saying, "You are weak and pathetic.") Though there are no rules for role-play, I thought I would post a few standards. This is just what I consider to be normal and customary. If you want to play a different way, just put it in your thread. Otherwise, it's safe to assume these are the rules of the fight. Feel free to request a moderator, and someone will reply to your post in a timely fashion to "referee" your fight.
-Begin by posting your character's description along with his abilities.
-No god-modding. Do not control another player's character. You can only speak for the actions of your character and any NPC's. (Non-player characters). You can also not specify whether or not your attacks are successful. For example, you can say that you threw a punch, but not that you punched someone. They might have dodged.
-Maintain a comparitively equal power to the thread-starter. No rediculous characters with unstoppable super power.
-Try to follow the sytle of the thread-starter. If the thread is started by someone with a midieval theme, it would not be proper to follow by posting a character from the future.
-Keep pace and stay current. If your opponent goes two days without reply, feel free to god-mod his next response.
-No random death. It's okay to write your character out by dying, but simply posting "I die," is very poor. If you want to stop, at least have the courtesy to write yourself out with a little flare.
Now, ready, set, FIGHT!
